These grants are also open to post-doctoral clinicians and allied healthcare professionals.Postdoctoral FellowshipAre you looking to explore a research idea with a supervisor? This fellowship allows exceptional early career researchers (ECRs) and final-year PhD students to apply for research funding to pursue a novel research idea and build their independent research portfolio. This fellowship is flexible and can cover a range of career stages. Funding is provided for up to four years full-time or up to six years part-time. This can include:• Reasonable salary for the fellow • £20,000 per annum for research costs• £1000 per annum for career developmentResearch Leader FellowshipAre you looking to make the step to research independence? This scheme is designed for experienced dementia research leaders who have the ambition and skill to conduct excellent quality and innovative research, build a positive research culture and drive change for people affected by dementia. This Fellowship is open to people from diverse disciplines and career paths including those returning from a career break or time in other roles and those wishing to transition into dementia research from other fields. Funding is available for up to five years full-time, but researchers and their teams can work flexibly to meet personal circumstances. Available funding: • Reasonable salary for the fellow • £25,000 per annum for research costs • £1,000 per annum towards career development and training • Research support staff salary • Optional PhD studentship fees, and stipend to fund one studentProject grantsAre you looking for support to follow your next big idea? As an established dementia researcher, these grants could support you. Applicants may apply for direct costs of up to £400,000 to support their research including staff salary, consumables, and equipment. Funding is available for up to three years depending on the project type. However, they support researchers and their research teams to work flexibly to meet personal circumstances.
