14.00  Emerging and future models for sharing research outputs

It is widely accepted that publishing scientific findings in an open and shareable manner is best practice. But it can cost money and the various routes to Open Access and different publisher’s models can be tricky to navigate. In this session, we will hear about the critical importance of the University’s Read & Publish deals, about eLife’s new review model, and about the Peer Community In initiative as an alternative to traditional publishing. Speakers include:

  • Theo Andrew, Scholarly Communications Manager
  • Prof Adele Marston, Professor at the School of Biological Sciences and member of the eLife Editorial Board
  • Prof Matt Nolan, INCR
  • Dr Mahesh Karnani, INCR
