PhD student will use a fully human, stem cell–based model system to dissect the complex interactions between motor neurons, microglia, and astrocytes. By integrating single-cell transcriptomics, high-throughput imaging, and advanced co-culture approaches, the project aims to uncover key mechanisms by which neuroinflammatory signalling drives neuronal degeneration. The outcomes are expected to provide important insights into ALS pathogenesis and identify novel avenues for therapeutic intervention.
