2020ENCALS

The ENCALS meeting 2020 will be hosted in Edinburgh, Scotland, from Wednesday 17th to Friday 19th of June 2020. Local organizers are Prof. Sharon Abrahams and Prof. Siddharthan Chandran on behalf of the Euan MacDonald Centre for Motor Neurone Disease Research.

Registration

EARLY-BIRD REGISTRATION rates (before 5pm on Friday 20th March):

  • Established researchers, including post-docs: £220
  • Postgraduate students: £120
  • Industry: £600
  • Each ENCALS centre is entitled to one free registration for a PhD student. Please e-mail name, centre affiliation and dietary requirements of this PhD student to info@encals.eu

LATE REGISTRATION rates (after 5pm on Friday 20th March):

  • Established researchers, including post-docs: £290
  • Postgraduate students: £140
  • Industry: £800

Registration closes at 5pm on Friday 22nd May. On-site registration will not be possible.

Registration includes:

  • Participation at all ENCALS lectures and poster sessions;
  • Programme booklet;
  • ENCALS gala dinner and ceilidh, “A Night at the Museum” at the National Museum of Scotland on Thursday 18th June;
  • Lunch on Thursday and Friday;
  • Coffee and tea during the breaks.

Companion tickets for “A Night at the Museum” are available on the online registration form (£60).

Abstract submission

To submit your abstract, please login with your ENCALS user account. As soon as you are logged in, click in the top right corner of the screen and choose ‘my abstracts’ to create an abstract. The deadline for abstract submission is 5pm on Friday 20th March.

All abstracts will be reviewed by the programme committee and notifications of acceptance as oral or poster presentation will be e-mailed as soon as possible.

PLEASE NOTE: registration is arranged by the University of Edinburgh. Don’t forget to register via the registration form when you submit an abstract.  

Poster award for PhD students

All posters with a PhD student as first & presenting author will be reviewed by members of the award committee for the PhD poster award. Therefore, all PhD students presenting a poster are requested to attend the PhD poster award session at the last day of the conference.
