Good Practice Research Week

We are pleased to announce that the University's Good Research Practice Week event programme is now open for booking. The week will celebrate Edinburgh's commitment to good research practice and a healthy research culture. It will conclude with an event to recognise good research practices among our colleagues and nominations for this are now open.    

Good Research Practice Week takes place from 3 – 6 February 2025 and is open to all researchers, including PhD researchers, professional services research support colleagues, and technicians.

• AI and ethics

• Trusted research  

• Narrative CVs

• Ethical issues in open research and open data

• Research culture and behaviour

• Steering clear of predatory publishing

• Good practice for researchers working with industry

• Support for when research comes under public scrutiny;

.And many more sessions throughout the week.   

There will also be sessions on time and workload management, and expanding recognition and reward in academia.
