There are hints and tips on effective layout and content presentation, and also how to give a good verbal presentation on the day. Make the most of the effort you are putting in to your poster! Students entering the poster competition will need to prepare a 2 minute 'tour of their poster' for presenting to the judges. Don't forget to enter our PhD student poster competition Poster Board DimensionsThe poster boards at the venue are A0 portrait orientation (120 cm high by 84 cm wide). We may not be able to accommodate your poster if it does not fit these dimensions. It is very important you let us know immediately if your poster is larger than this or if it is landscape in orientation - we may be able to provide a very small number of oversized boards at the venue but this is cannot be guaranteed.Poster CompetitionThis year we will have one £250 prize for the best student poster and one £250 prize for the best student talk. To be eligible to enter either competition, you should be a PhD student (or equivalent) and the work presented should be your own. Posters will be judged on:the quality of the researchthe quality of the presentation on the posterthe quality of the spoken presentation to the judgeStudents should be prepared to man their posters during the breaks.
