There will be a limited number of poster boards available this year (to try and reduce the over-crowding) so you will need to apply for a poster board.  We are also inviting applications from PhD students who would like to give a talks as part of the 'PhD Student Data Blitz' session.

Poster Board Application *Closed*

We will not require poster abstracts this year, unless you are applying for a student speaking slot (see below). To apply for a poster board you must submit a poster title via the online form (accessed via the hyperlinked title above). Deadline for submitting an application for a poster board is Wednesday 07 March. We will confirm whether or not you have been successful by Monday 12 March 2018.

Guidelines for Making and Presenting a Great Poster!

Click the hyperlinked title above to access our guidelines on how to make and present a great poster. There are hints and tips on effective layout and content presentation, and also how to give a good verbal presentation on the day. Make the most of the effort you are putting in to your poster!  If using a laptop, or at home, you need to turn on your University of Edinburgh VPN in order to access our poster guidlines.

Poster Board Dimensions

The poster boards at the venue are A0 portrait orientation (120 cm high by 84 cm wide). We may not be able to accommodate your poster if it does not fit these dimensions. It is very important you let us know immediately if your poster is larger than this or if it is landscape in orientation - we may be able to provide a very small number of oversized boards at the venue but this is cannot be guaranteed.

Student Data Blitz Talks *Closed*

This year there won't be either a poster competition or a talk competition.  Instead, we are inviting PhD students to apply for a speaking slot at the 'Student Data Blitz' session. Applications have now closed and the student talks selected. The chosen talks can be found listed on the meeting programme.
